About Paper Mario

Mario pals around in an all-new action adventure! Mario's back in his first adventure since Super Mario 64, and this time, Bowser's bent on preventing a storybook ending. When Princess Peach is kidnapped, Mario plots to rescue the seven Star Spirits and rid the Mushroom Kingdom of Koopa's cruel cohorts. As he travels from the tropical jungles of Lavalava Island to the frosty heights of Shiver Mountain, he'll meet up with seven all-new companions... and he'll need help from each one or there'll be no happily ever after.

How to play Paper Mario

Press Play now. ClaBa Player opens and loads the game.
Play with your keyboard or a controller. The ⚙ menu shows every control and lets you remap it.
Save whenever you like. Save states are stored in this browser, on this device only.

T / G / F / H move the stick. X / S = A / B. Enter = Start.

On phones and tablets, on-screen buttons appear when the game starts. Bluetooth controllers work too.

Controls

A: X
B: S
Z: Tab
L: Q
R: E
Start: Enter
Analog stick: TGFH
C buttons: IKJL
D-pad: ↑↓←→

Most USB and Bluetooth controllers work. Connect yours before you press Play now, then press any button on it.

Before playing this edition

Move the analog stick with T/G/F/H, not the arrow-key D-pad. X is the N64 A button, S is B and Enter is Start. In the original game, A jumps and confirms, while B uses the hammer or cancels, depending on context.

Version and progress

This is Paper Mario for Nintendo 64, not The Thousand-Year Door. The original game uses Save Blocks to record progress; the player’s Save state command is a separate snapshot of the running session.

To keep the current moment, open the player menu and choose Save state. Load state restores that snapshot. It stays in this browser on this device, separately from your account, favourites and saved-for-later list. Clearing site data can remove it; keep using the same edition when resuming.

Browser and device limits

A controller or a mapped virtual analog stick matters here: the N64 D-pad and analog stick are different inputs. Verify your chosen layout before starting; a touch interface does not certify the whole adventure on mobile.
