The game is based on a Disney movie of the same name, Bolt. However, the plot differs from that of the movie, focusing on the TV series in which Bolt is the protagonist and thus retaining Bolt’s super powers in the series.

Using Bolt’s superpowers, the player can take on a multitude of enemies. New powers, such as the “Super Bark” or the “Laser Beams” of the eyes, can be unlocked as the game progresses.
