About Heavy Metal
Heavy Metal is a vertically scrolling top-down shooter. You control a tank from bottom to top through four levels, shooting enemies along the way.
The screen scrolls automatically and the tank has free movement. A radar on the left screen scans at a constant speed and indicates the tank's position and incoming enemies by pinging them. Four different power-ups can be collected along the way: a shield (yellow), a super shot (orange), a super rocket (blue) and an acceleration (green). There are multiple lives, but a single hit is instantly fatal.
