About Ardok the Barbarian

Ardok the Barbarian is the US release of the game Asterix and the Cauldron. Since the comic character Asterix is mainly known in Europe, the main characters were quickly transformed into two barbarians, but the plot remained the same.

The main characters come from the only village in 50 BC. BC, which was able to resist the Roman invasion. They can do this thanks to Getafix, the druid's magic potion, although the cauldron from which it was made is broken into several pieces.

The fifty screens you have to explore show your home village, a Roman camp, and the forests in between. You have five pieces of wild boar and these are used when you get hungry.

Contact with wild boars or Roman soldiers triggers a duel with punches and kicks. Defeating a boar will give you another piece of food to restore energy.
